Privacy Policy

Your photos, contacts and calendar are analyzed on your iPhone and never uploaded to us.

Last updated 22 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how B O S.R.L. (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Datary Smart Cleaner app for iPhone (the “App”) and the website dataryclean.com. In short: your photos, videos, contacts and calendar are analyzed on your device and never uploaded to us.

1. Who we are

The App is published by B O S.R.L., a company registered in Argentina, which is responsible for the processing described in this policy. You can reach us at support@dataryclean.com.

2. Content on your device

To find duplicates and items you no longer need, the App asks for access to:

  • Photos, to find duplicate and similar photos and the largest videos;
  • Contacts, to find empty, incomplete and duplicate contacts and merge them;
  • Calendars, to find outdated and duplicate events.

All analysis runs locally on your iPhone. We do not upload, store, view or share your photos, videos, contacts or calendar events. Items are deleted or merged only after you review and confirm them. Access is requested when you use the matching feature and can be changed at any time in iPhone Settings.

3. Information we collect

Technical and diagnostic information

We collect limited technical information, such as device model, iOS version, app version, crash reports and diagnostic data, to keep the App stable and fix problems.

Usage information

We collect information about how features are used, such as which tools are opened and when a scan is completed. It is not linked to your name or email address and is used only to improve the App.

Information you send us

If you contact support, we receive your email address and the content of your message.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple tells us whether a subscription or trial is active so the App can unlock its features.

4. How we use information

  • To provide the App and its features;
  • To keep the App stable, diagnose crashes and improve performance;
  • To answer your support requests;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your information for targeted advertising and we do not sell or rent personal data.

5. Legal bases

Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we process information on the basis of performing our agreement with you (providing the App), our legitimate interests (keeping the App working reliably and improving it, and answering support requests), your consent (iOS permission prompts, which you control in Settings), and legal obligations.

6. Service providers

We use trusted service providers for crash reporting and app analytics. They process technical and usage information on our behalf, only to provide these services, and never receive your photos, videos, contacts or calendar events. Apple processes your purchases under its own privacy policy.

7. International transfers

Our service providers may process information outside your country, including outside Argentina and the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.

8. Retention

  • Content on your device stays under your control and is never stored by us.
  • Technical, diagnostic and usage information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above.
  • Support emails are kept as long as needed to resolve your request.

9. Security

Because your content is analyzed on your device, it stays protected by iOS. Data sent to our service providers travels over encrypted connections, and we apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it.

10. Children

The App is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email support@dataryclean.com. We answer within the time required by applicable law.

In Argentina, you may also contact the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP), the authority responsible for enforcing Personal Data Protection Law No. 25,326. In the EU or UK, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

12. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at dataryclean.com/privacy, with the date at the top.
